Our journey started back in 2012 at CSU Chico, where we—Eric and Jolon—met in college and formed a lifelong friendship that would eventually lead to building a business together.

By 2018, we had fully taken over GMG’s social media and built a loyal following of over 150,000 followers. That experience showed us we had a knack for social media—both in content creation and community growth.

By 2022, we realized it was time to go all in. We launched our first freelance project with Pimp My Grill, a company in the BBQ space we already knew well. Within months, we boosted their online sales by 66%. That success gave us the confidence to launch Fire Social—a social media-focused content and strategy company serving businesses in both Boise and San Diego.

Our history

Every brand has a beginning. Here’s ours:

in 2016, we both started working at Green Mountain Grills—Eric in sales and Jolon in tech support. Eric began managing the company’s Instagram and Facebook accounts, while Jolon started editing videos here and there. What started as side tasks soon became a passion.

In 2019, Jolon picked up a camera for the first time, recognizing that one of the biggest challenges for businesses was the lack of strong visual content. That decision marked the beginning of a new creative chapter for us.

In 2023, we hit the ground running—bringing on five clients in our first year. Every one of them saw results. We quickly realized that many businesses needed not just beautiful content, but content designed for social media—content built around strategy, timing, and platform-specific nuances. That’s where we came in.

While many videographers and photographers create stunning visuals, we specialize in creating content that works—strategic, engaging, and built to perform on social platforms.
